How Responsibility Works in Our B2B Model
GRANDMARK is a factory-direct wholesaler. We sell business to business (B2B) for export and do not sell to consumers. Under this model:
- GRANDMARK, seller and exporter: manufactures the shoes, ships them from Foshan and Hong Kong, and supplies the export documents plus available product information and test reports.
- Your business, importer of record: places the goods on your market and is the responsible economic operator for customs clearance, duties and VAT, and local product-safety, labeling and restricted-substance rules — for example GPSR and REACH in the EU, the UK product-safety regime, and US CBP/FTC requirements.
We therefore do not act as, and are not named as, the EU or UK responsible person for your wholesale import; where that role is required, it is fulfilled by your business as importer. If you cannot act as importer, contact us before ordering.

Restricted Substances in Leather
US and EU buyers pay close attention to the chemicals used in leather. Two of the most important controls are:
- Azo dyes: certain azo dyes that release banned aromatic amines are restricted under REACH and equivalent US rules.
- Chromium VI (hexavalent chromium): properly processed chromium-tanned leather should not contain chromium VI above the limit.
We can state our position on these substances and support test reports rather than making vague claims about “safe leather.”
EU & UK Responsible Person
Because we sell B2B, the EU or UK buyer acting as importer is the responsible economic operator for the goods in its market, and the GPSR “responsible person” requirement is satisfied by that importer. GRANDMARK does not act as the EU or UK responsible person for wholesale orders. If you are unable to act as importer, or intend to sell the goods to consumers, contact us before ordering so we can confirm an alternative arrangement.
